Great day at the Whittlesey festival!
We had so much interest in the Whittlesey session and also other sessions in the area, six people took advantage of the £30 deal, enjoying a extra session for signing up on the day.
The Focus mitts challenge proved very popular with over 100 people taking part that registered a score.
First-place gets life membership and a free uniform at our club with second-place winning a free T-shirt... winners and runners up, comment on this to claim your prize so I can book you in to which ever session you would like to attend.
It was very close and well done to everybody who took part.
1st Danny (260)
2nd Ethan (240)
1st Emma (246)
2nd Jurgita (230)
I am anticipating a busy night on Friday and looking forward to the new members coming in.
Special thanks to everybody that helped out at the event!

Excellent results from a new event held on Saturday, June 4 at Lodge Park Sports Centre, Corby
BCKA Chief instructor Alex Barrowman hosted the BCKA National kung fu and kick boxing Championships, also featuring the European invitational Challenge cup event with over 300 entries into the points fighting, Continuous fighting, kung fu forms and weapons sections made this a superb martial arts tournament.
Fighters and competitors from Ireland, Scotland, Germany and around England met at Lodge Park Sports Centre, Corby to witness martial arts at the very top level, some of the best fighters of the UK were on display and didn't disappoint, the Irish and German teams were also highly skilled fighters, making this tournament a total success, enjoyed by the fighters, competitors, coaches and spectators.
Over 20 fighters from Peterborough BCKA fought well to collect 18 x European Invitation titles, with many second and third place medals, however with such a high standard of competitor, a few of our members were unlucky to miss out.
This is great news for our new sponsor, as this was our first competition in the uniforms sponsored by MT Cars - Subaru of Whittlesey.
As always, I am very proud of all of our fighters, whether they win or lose, as I know they all gave 100%

Peterborough area BCKA clubs have been very busy over the last few weekends, as always our fighters performed superbly with many medals and trophies being collected at the three Championships.
I am very proud of our fighters who compete again this weekend (Saturday 26th September) in the BCKA Tri-Series. The Tri-Series is a new event where Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire clubs compete against each other in a league system to determine who is the best fighter of the three counties; first and second place in each category will compete in a ‘Fight Night’ for the Grand Champion belt and is going to be a great event.
If anybody would like to join our clubs and have the chance to compete at local, national and international level tournaments, contact Senior Executive Instructor - Andy Whitwell on 07969 792286 or check the website www.bcka-peterborough.co.uk
